International Needs Australia is part of the global IN Network partnership, founded in 1974 by Ray Harrison.
International Needs was established ‘to connect national partners in evangelism, discipleship and community development’.
The partnership is based upon the premise that locals understand the culture, needs and issues of their own people and as such, are best placed to act as agents of change and advocates for the poor.
In 2003, International Needs in Australia was divided into two distinct bodies to differentiate clearly between its evangelistic (IN Network Australia) and development activities (International Needs Australia). Like our partner countries, International Needs is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors and is independently audited on an annual basis.
