We are accredited with the Australian Government through AusAID.
AusAID (Australian Agency for International Development) is an executive agency within the Foreign Affairs and Trade portfolio of the Australian Government.
Why should you care that we are accredited with the Australian Government?
More than 10% of AusAID's aid program is delivered by Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) such as International Needs Australia. NGOs that are accredited are able to deliver aid that is funded by Australian tax-payers.
"The accreditation process provides AusAID and the Australian public with confidence that where the Australian Government provides grants to Australian NGOs to implement their own aid and development programs, it is funding professional, well-managed, community-based organisations capable of delivering good development outcomes." 1
Therefore, as an accredited organisation you can be assured that whether we are utilising tax-payer funds or private donations International Needs Australia is doing so at a very high standard of delivery.
