She was married very young. Her husband rarely had work. Poor, hungry and stressed they argued often, until he left. Then the worst thing possible happenend...her daughter disappeared. Shortly news came of a raid on a brothel where 60 children were arrested.

With World Water Day 2012 quickly approaching (22 March), International Needs would like to let you know of ways you can change the world. Lack of access to clean water is the biggest health risk to people in poorer countries. International Needs is working in Uganda to improve livelihoods through improved health and hygeine as a result of access to clean water. 
At International Needs, one of our core objectives is to improve maternal and child health. We feel not only does this benefit individuals, but it enriches communities with a greater sense of hope and wellbeing.
Every year, over half a million women die during childbirth around the world. Over 80% of these occur in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Most are preventable with the right care.
