Tropical Storm Ondoy (Typhoon Ketsana) has devastated Manila and surrounding provinces with flooding brought on by 400mm of rain in a single day. As of 30 September, 246 people are confirmed dead and over 2.25 million people have been affected.
The communities that International Needs is working with/in have been severely affected by the storm with damage to buildings and property. Current issues that are faced by people in the Philippines are:
