We have reached a CRITICAL point in our attempts to raise the funds we so urgently need to continue our life changing rehabilitation work amongst ex Trokosi slaves and vulnerable women in Ghana, that Australians have so generously supported in the past.
The OPPORTUNITY is that our development grant from the Australian Government for the Adidome Modular Vocational Skills Training Projects has been increased to an all time record level. This is the grant where for every dollar you give the Australian Government will add $5, multiplying your generosity an incredible six times!
The REALITY is that we need to raise $100,000 to fully access the grant. To date we have only raised $20,000, so in just six weeks we need to find another $80,000 to reach the $600,000 total we need, to ensure the project can finish the life changing work it started in 2003. During the past eight years, with your support, more than 2,500 ex Trokosi slaves and other vulnerable women, have graduated from the Adidome Modular Vocational Skills Training Project. They have been equipped with the opportunity and the skills that have empowered them to build themselves, their families and communities, a brighter future. See the PDF link at right for some examples of how your support can help.
If 800 supporters each gave a fully tax deductible $100 (multiplied 6 times by the Australian Government Grant) we would raise the $80,000 needed to reach our critical target of $600,000 so that together, we can finish the work that has succeeded in changing so many lives for the better.
